So I’m about to have a 1 year old…A 1 YEAR OLD!!!!! I am amazed/shocked/frightened by how fast the last year has passed us by. This time a year ago, we were putting the finishing touches on Bean’s nursery, buying last minute baby items (little did we know the amount of additional items we’d need when she finally arrived), and enjoying the last few weeks of two’s a company.
Fast forward about a year, and here we are…with a 1 year old! Of course, she is the most beautiful girl in the world, not to mention a downright genius.
Vocabulary: Mama, Dada, dog dog, arf, egg, Bob Dole
I rest my case.
In celebrating the last year, we have been looking forward to throwing Bean’s first birthday party. Of course, I had ideas early on, but I finally decided on a Western theme. We have a bit of western theme going on in her nursery with pink gingham and a cowhide rug so I figured we’d just expand on that. Now my brain is reeling with Western theme ideas…handkerchiefs, cowboy hats, homemade pies, and of course, cowbells.
Stay tuned for what I’m sure will be a hilarious attempt at bringing a little honky tonk to our urban oasis.
